Ben Brown’s last two starts have been pretty good (total 11 innings, three runs allowed, 13 strikeouts). Hopefully he can continue to build on that.

His only career appearance against the Marlins was two scoreless relief innings in the second game of a doubleheader April 20, 2024. Of the current Marlins, only Jesus Sanchez has faced him, and Brown struck him out.

More just like that, please.

Valente Bellozo made 13 starts for the Marlins last year and has made four this year and the results have been decent: 3.63 ERA, 2.1 bWAR. He’s not a strikeout pitcher, as his rate is just 15 percent.

Of his 13 starts last year, one was against the Cubs, Aug. 24 at Miami. Bellozo allowed six runs (five earned) in 4x innings, including homers by Seiya Suzuki and Pete Crow-Armstrong.
