The Green Bay Packers are in Arlington this weekend for a showdown against the Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium. Both teams are coming off a loss in Week 3, so one of them is about to get back in the win column.
But regardless of the circumstances, a meeting between Green Bay and Dallas will always grab attention, thanks in large part to these teams’ established on-field enmity. This rivalry will have its newest chapter with an added flavor to it this Sunday as well, particularly with Micah Parsons returning to his old stomping grounds for the first time since his controversial split with the Cowboys in the offseason.
Dallas EVP speaks up on Packers before Week 4

During a recent appearance on 105.3 The FAN , Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones was asked if winning a game against the Packers has a little more value for Dallas compared to other opponents.
“Well, obviously every game is so important, and don’t get me wrong, the division games probably come first, but when you get to games like San Francisco and Green Bay, especially the experiences we’ve had over the last 10 years, we need to get those right, and certainly Green Bay is right at the top of the list, Jones said.”
Jones also praised Green Bay for its consistent excellence in running the franchise.
Hats off to them, they’re a great organization, they do things the right way. They’ve had really great players from the Brett Favres there right on down the line, and obviously we get an opportunity here Sunday.”
Week 4’s meeting also gives the Cowboys a chance to end their five-game losing skid to Green Bay. In their last meeting, the Packers defeated the Cowboys in a playoff game in January of 2024.
