CeeDee Lamb Admits Harsh Truth About Cowboys’ Disappointing Season

With eight more games left in the season, the Dallas Cowboys certainly have a chance to turn things around and make a run for the postseason. However, the vibe within the organization suggests that nobody actually believes they can do that.

Star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb’s latest remarks are a perfect example of the hopelessness prevalent in the organization. Speaking to the press on Friday, Lamb addressed what has gone wrong so far in the season and looked ahead to the final stretch. He referred to Dak Prescott’s injury as “terrible and deflating”, perfectly summing up the atmosphere in the building.

The Cowboys are still winless at home so far. Both sides of the ball have looked much worse than last year, suffering multiple blowout losses already. Lamb, for his part, hasn’t been up to his usual standard. After putting up 135 catches, 1,749 yards, and 12 touchdowns last season, the All-Pro receiver currently has 59 receptions, 681 yards, and four touchdowns through nine games.

The Cowboys will be without Prescott for the rest of the season. Cooper Rush will continue to get the start with Trey Lance as a possibility to replace him. This will certainly hurt Lamb’s production and the Cowboys’ offense as they take on the Texans and the Commanders in their next two games. Whether Dallas will be able to bounce back and at least have a relevant, competitive team for the rest of the campaign remains to be seen.
