Former NFL All-Pro WR wants to work with star Steelers playmaker: ‘Has another level to reach’

NFL legendary wide receiver Dez Bryant, who was one of the best playmakers in the NFL during his prime, wants to work with Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver DK Metcalf, he posted on X.

Bryant says there is still another level to Metcalf’s game that the freak athlete has yet to reach.

“I want to work with DK Metcalf,” Bryant posted on X. “He has another level to him that I want to see him unlock.”

Bryant was a first-team All-Pro in 2014, and quickly became one of the better wide receivers in football once the Cowboys selected him out of Oklahoma State.

He made three Pro Bowls in his career, but injuries slowed Bryant down over his elite stretch of seasons from 2013 to 2016 at the Star.

A two-time Pro Bowler, Metcalf has shined with the Seahawks, and has connections to the Steelers. With the Seahawks, he and Russell Wilson combined to become one of the best deep ball tandems with Wilson’s moon ball utilizing Metcalf’s elite 4.33 speed.

Metcalf and the Steelers have agreed to a five-year, $150 million deal in March as part of his trade. That is the richest deal in team history, and Metcalf now becomes the bonafide WR1 for the Steelers.

Bryant wants to see Metcalf go from someone who is among the top tier of wide receivers to the truly elite tier with players like Ja’Marr Chase, Justin Jefferson, and others who pace the top of the wide receiver stat lists in the NFL now.
