AMAZING!!! It Took Stefon Diggs Just One Day to Remind Vikings Fans He’s a “Walking Highlight”

It took Stefon Diggs one day to show Vikings fans he’s still a walking highlight

It’s been more than five years since Stefon Diggs was last on a Minnesota Vikings practice field, but the fan base got a treat on Wednesday, as the team’s former receiver and the New England Patriots hit the grass at the TCO Performance Center for a joint practice session.

Diggs definitely didn’t waste any time reminding Vikings fans why he is still one of the best route-runners in the entire NFL, as he made new Minnesota cornerback Jeff Okudah look silly during a 1-on-1 rep.

Okudah wasn’t the only player victimized by Diggs’ nasty route running on Wednesday. Vikings cornerback Byron Murphy Jr. also came up short in a 1-on-1 rep against the former Minnesota pass-catcher.

Diggs entered the league all the way back in 2015 when Minnesota selected him with a fifth-round draft pick. Despite where he was drafted, he quickly emerged as a top wide receiver for the Vikings, and he went on to spend a total of five seasons in purple ND gold.

Unfortunately, his relationship with Minnesota reached a breaking point in the 2020 offseason and it resulted in the team trading him to the Buffalo Bills. Then all the Vikings did with one of the picks they acquired from the Bills was use it to select former LSU wide receiver Justin Jefferson in the 202 NFL Draft.

Diggs went on to perform at an All-Pro level with the Bills, and Jefferson quickly developed into arguably the best receiver in the entire NFL. It turned out to be a deal that benefited both franchises greatly in the end.

Last season, Diggs appeared in eight games with the Houston Texans before tearing his ACL in Week 8. His status with the Patriots for their upcoming regular-season opener in a few weeks is still uncertain, but he definitely showed out on Minnesota’s practice field on Wednesday that he’s at least close to being able to play when New England hosts the Las Vegas Raiders inside to open up the 2025 campaign.
