Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson has been vocal about how he wants to take everything about his recovery with full patience but it seems his body is aching for action already.

The fourth year player failed to end his 2024 season when he suffered a non-contact injury on Week 18 in loss to rivals Chicago Bears. It was later diagnosed as torn ACL, making him miss the Wild Card Round game against eventual champions Philadelphia Eagles.

Watson did not waste time on his recovery as he underwent a reconstructive knee surgery.

Packers are deep into their preparations for the 2025 NFL season and while Watson’s participations are limited, his current activities could very well suggest that he is already fully recovered.

WFRV Sports’ Cameron Ezeir was among the spectators in team’s recent practice and the reporter posted on X how Watson shows no sign of being slowed down by his legs.

Being able to run at that speed can really be stunning as ACL injury takes time to fully heal, could take up to 12 months depending on the treatment.

Christian Watson designation for 2025 season revealed

Watson remains patient with his injury, insisting that he will stick to their recovery program.

He remains confident with his ability, even go as far as saying that he is still the fastest player on the team.

“No doubt,” he said last week.

“I’ve been saying it to everybody who has anything to say. I’ll race anybody right now and I’m still taking the dub.”

Fans can expect the same Watson once he returns. Question now is when will that be?

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported that the 26-year-old WR, currently on a contract year, will be put on the Physically Unable to Play (PUP) list. This means that he will miss the first four games of the season.
