One of the cheerleaders announced during the end of the second season of the Netflix series “America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders” that the cheerleaders are getting a 400 percent raise. It’s “life changing” money, according to the Dalals Cowboys Cheerleaders. Many of them work in other fields to support themselves.
“Our efforts were heard and they wanted to give us a raise,” Dallas Cowboys four-year veteran Megan McElaney said on the show. “And we ended up getting a 400% increase, which is like, life-changing.”
But one prominent Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader will not be around to get the raise heading into the 2025 season. She was officially suspended by the team before leaving the organization in sudden fashion.

Veteran Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader KayDianna MacKenzie, who was promoted to a group leader during the 2024 season, was suspended by the organization following the year, according to Season 2 of “America’s Sweethearts.”
MacKenzie was accused of “bullying” in regards to a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader teammate. Chandi, a five-year Dallas Cowboys Cheerleading veteran, took a mental health break during the year. It was revealed that on a team trip to the Bahamas, she brought a man back to the cheerleader rooms, which was against team rules due to safety reasons.

While MacKenzie never referenced Chandi by name, she allegedly referred to the situation during a live stream and said that she would talk all about it in a future video.
She admitted that she was suspended for “bullying” while never mentioning Chandi’s name.
The leaders of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders announced during the end of Season 2 of “America’s Sweethearts” that she was no longer a part of the team. Kelli Finglass, the leader of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, said that the departure was sudden but final.

The former Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader has continued to post on social media, with close to 100,000 followers on her Instagram page.
The Dallas Cowboys, meanwhile, are scheduled to open the 2025 season on Thursday, Sept. 4 against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Kickoff for that game is scheduled for 8:20 p.m. E.T. on Thursday night.
The game will air on NBC.
