Position-by-position breakdown of San Francisco 49ers 90-man roster

The San Francisco 49ers finish reporting to training camp July 22 to begin the real preparation for the 2025 season.

Before they can kick off their season opener against the Seattle Seahawks on Sept. 7, the 49ers will have to get through training camp and trim their 90-man roster down to 53 players.

This year’s camp will provide a little bit of a different wrinkle than San Francisco is used to. They have a bunch of roster spots up for grabs, and a slew of players on the 90-man unit will have a real opportunity to break through an unsettled depth chart and into the back end of the roster.

There will be additional tweaks to San Francisco’s 90-player squad in the lead up to and throughout camp. Injuries and general player performance can push the team to make a bunch of moves to shift around their preseason roster. For now things are mostly settled.

Here’s what the 49ers’ 90-man roster looks like entering training camp. Rookies are listed in italics. We’ll update this list as the 49ers make moves:
