The Dallas Cowboys are in a tough situation heading into week eight of the 2024 NFL season. They’re currently 3-3, third place in the NFC East, and have a date with the San Francisco 49ers in Santa Clara, California this Sunday.

Dallas needs to string together some wins to stay with the Washington Commanders (5-2) and Philadelphia Eagles (4-2). Dallas could be making some deals leading up to one of their next few contests.

Vaughn is a 2023 sixth-round pick who just isn’t getting the run a young running back needs to really find his footing in the NFL. Dallas could afford to trade the second-year player for roughly what they drafted him for (a sixth-rounder) and allow him a chance to play more elsewhere.

It will be interesting to see if Dallas is sellers at the trade deadline this year. Many analysts peg them to be buyers to get more weapons for their offense.
