Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s nuptials makes things tense for Chiefs general manager Brett Veach.
The Kansas City Chiefs are thrilled to have Travis Kelce back for another season.
Aside from his production on the field — the 36-year-old finished the 2025 NFL season with 851 yards and five touchdowns — Chiefs general manager Brett Veach also loves what he brings to the table as a veteran in the locker room.
Kelce’s fiancée, Taylor Swift, described the 11-time Pro Bowler as a human exclamation point, and Veach seems to agree.
“He puts a smile on someone’s face every single day,” Veach said during a chat with Pete Schrager on March 31. “It doesn’t matter if you win a game by three touchdowns or if you lose a game. You have to come back in and learn from the mistakes.”

“Everything he does, he does with a smile. It’s easy to lose sight of that and get into this head space where it’s always negative all the time. He just keeps a positive spin and uplifting spin on everything he does. That’s one of the [reasons] I’m glad he’s not retiring. When he does, that’s going to be almost impossible to replace.”
Veach spoke from the NFL Annual Meetings in Phoenix, prepared to answer questions about the team’s roster and the 2026 NFL draft. However, he was not prepared to field questions about Kelce’s and Swift’s upcoming nuptials.
Brett Veach Appeared Very Uncomfortable Answering Questions About Travis Kelce & Taylor Swift’s Wedding

GettyChiefs GM Brett Veach was very uncomfortable discussing Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s wedding.
When Schrager asked if Veach scored an invite to what’s predicted to be the wedding of the century, Veach refused to say yes or no.
“We’ll see,” he answers. “Couldn’t say either way.”
Schrager asks, “Is it like no one is even allowed to talk about it? Is it pretty secure? Okay, I can see the uncomfort. The room just got really tight and the air just –”
“That’s like the hardest-hitting question you’ll ever ask me,” Veach quips. “Off the record, you can ask me who we’re picking at nine. I’m gonna tell you who we’re picking at nine. I cannot disclose anything about the wedding.”
After the interview concluded, Schrager touched on the topic once more to clear the air. “I don’t want you to accuse me of trying to fish for like a TMZ headline,” he said, “but the way that Brett Veach responded to me asking about whether he was invited to Travis and Taylor’s wedding, it was like I asked him for a government secret. Gosh, he clammed up. Tells me there’s been some strict orders, yay or nay, whether he is invited or not, do not speak on the wedding.”
Veach, who’s worked with the Chiefs organization since 2013, is almost certainly invited. One fan commented on X, “It was funny to watch. He would have been happier turning over a playbook than to be asked about the wedding.” Another person wrote, “Veach: manages hundred of millions of dollars in NFL salary cap. Cool as can be. Asked if he’s invited to Taylor & Travis’ wedding: [sweating face GIF].”
Rumors About Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce Having Guests Sign NDAs Were Proven False
While promoting her “The Life of a Showgirl” album in October, Swift suggested the wedding would be huge. “I’m so excited about it,” she revealed on The Graham Norton Show in October.
“It’s going to be fun to plan, because I think the only stressful weddings are the ones where you have a small amount of people and people are on the bubble—and you have to evaluate or assess your relationship with them to see if they should be there.”
After Norton scored an invite, he noted on the Waging On podcast in January about how he signed “so many” non-disclosure agreements in regards to Swift and Kelce’s wedding. He later had to clarify that the comment was made in jest.
“I said that as a joke on the podcast, I said, ‘Oh I’ve signed all these NDAs,’” Graham explained during an Advertising Week Europe presentation March 25, The Independent reported. “And then it started getting reported as a serious thing in America. I didn’t say cut that out because I thought it was so obviously a joke.”
