CONWAY, S.C. (WMBF) – The City of Conway will have a major guest as its Grand Marshal for this year’s Christmas parade.
Officials recently announced Atlanta Braves pitcher and Conway native Grant Holmes has been given the honor. The city’s parade takes place Dec. 14 at 10 a.m.
Holmes, a Conway native and alum of Conway High School, was a first-round draft pick by the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2014. He made his MLB debut this past season with the Braves after several minor league stints with other teams.
Holmes finished the season with a 2-1 record along with a 3.56 ERA and 70 strikeouts in 26 total appearances for Atlanta.
