Right now, the biggest storyline in the NFL heading into the offseason involves Las Vegas Raiders’ star edge rusher Maxx Crosby, who very well could have played his last snap in the black and silver. The five-time Pro Bowler deserves to see success in the postseason. He hasn’t seen in the regular season nor the postseason.

Now that the Raiders are yet again in a rebuild with a new head coach in Klint Kubiak, no one would be surprised if Crosby was not there next season. That’s where a team like the Buffalo Bills need to strongly monitor this situation because not only would Crosby upgrade their defense in a huge way, but the Bills are also in need of a ferocious pass rusher.

While it’s been stated that the Raiders want Crosby, we see star players get traded including Micah Parsons who was sent off to Green Bay from Dallas right before the start of the 2025 season. If Crosby gets traded, no one be shocked but it would still be a big deal.

For a player like Crosby, it would take a Parsons-to-Green Bay like deal to land him, but it could also be a lopsided trade as well. Tyler Sullivan from CBS Sports put together a list of mock trades for teams that could trade for Crosby, and the Bills were one of those teams but their package is not anything huge at all.

In Sullivan’s mock trade, the Bills would acquire Crosby for just two first-round picks in 2026 and 2027, as well as WR Keon Coleman.

Two first round picks is the absolute minimum, no doubt about that. But then for the next trade asset to be Coleman and that’s it? That is a huge steal for the Bills.

Coleman has struggled on the field for the Bills and he was a huge topic in the Bills’ press conference after the firing of Sean McDermott in which Terry Pegula said it was the coaching staff, not Brandon Beane that had pushed to draft Coleman.

With new head coach Joe Brady, maybe there is a chance that Coleman can grow in this third season. However, if he is part of a trade package this offseason for the Bills, fans would not be surprised at all.

The Bills need to improve their pass rush. It’s been one of their achilles heel in recent memory. Even with all of the resources that Buffalo used last offseason, their pass rush was inconsistent. Bringing in a player like Crosby would automatically make him the Josh Allen of the defense. Only giving up two picks and a struggling wideout? That should be a no brainer.
