The Dallas Cowboys enter Week 11 with a mix of optimism and frustration as they finalize preparations for Monday Night Football against the Las Vegas Raiders.
While the roster is finally starting to look healthier and in some cases stronger, the defense also took a tough hit heading into primetime.

Dallas will welcome several important reinforcements, including trade-deadline additions Quinnen Williams and Logan Wilson, both expected to take on meaningful roles immediately.
Rising linebacker DeMarvion Overshown is also set to return, giving the Cowboys a burst of athleticism they’ve missed since his injury.
Third-round rookie Shavon Revel, one of the standout young defenders from the 2025 draft class, is back as well and should provide valuable depth in the secondary.
But the good news came with a gut punch.
Veteran defensive tackle Solomon Thomas, who battled a calf injury throughout the week, has officially been ruled out for Monday night.

The loss stings as Thomas has been one of the steady leaders in Dallas’ defensive front, especially with all the moving pieces the unit has endured in 2025.
Starting safety Donovan Wilson practiced fully on Saturday and is trending toward playing, while fellow safety Malik Hooker is questionable but also moving in the right direction, according to head coach Brian Schottenheimer.
With new faces joining the lineup and familiar ones returning, Dallas rolls into Week 11 with a reshaped defense that hopes to slow down Ashton Jeanty and the Raiders’ surging rushing attack.
The Frisco (Lone Star High School) native and Raiders rookie running back Jeanty was respectful of Dallas’ talent and its trade-deadline splash for defensive tackle Quinnen Williams, but he didn’t hide his optimism about the opportunity.

“They’ve got some great players, they just added another, Quinnen Williams, on the interior, so I’m sure that will level up the kit front,” Jeanty said. “But it’s a good all-around team, but there’s definitely places where we can attack them and make great plays. There’s definitely places we can attack them.”
There’s uncertainty, but also a sense of rejuvenation and a belief that reinforcements might help steady the ship after a turbulent first half of the season.
Despite the setback with Thomas, the Cowboys enter Monday night looking more complete — and more dangerous — than they have in weeks.
