There were very few positives to take away from the game. The defense was great, but the offense was horrific. LaFleur has started drawing a lot of criticism for his play-calling and overall coaching performance.
At this point, there are many Green Bay fans who are ready to see the team move on from LaFleur. No one can blame them for that mindset. LaFleur has won a lot of regular season games, but his teams have often played down to competition and been unable to perform up to standards against top-tier opponents.

With that being said, a lot of fans have been calling for LaFleur to give up his play-calling duties. The offense has been floundering with play-calling being a big problem at the core of the issue.

Despite the calls for a change of offensive play-calling duties, LaFleur has made the decision that he will not be giving that role up.
Matt Schneidman of The Athletic shared the news of LaFleur’s decision.
“With a chuckle, Matt LaFleur says he isn’t giving up play calling,” Schneidman wrote on X.
Since taking over as the Packers’ head coach back in the 2019 season, LaFleur has led the team to a 72-36-1 overall record. He has made the playoffs in five of his six complete seasons.
On the surface, those numbers are impressive. LaFleur has led the franchise to a lot of winning, but has yet to make it to the Super Bowl. At the end of the day, Green Bay is about championships and he has not brought the team one yet.

While the frustration is understandable, the question of who could replace LaFleur remains a big issue. Is there anyone out there who could do better for the Packers than LaFleur? That would be the ultimate decision facing the front office.
Expect to continue hearing tensions rise in Green Bay if the Packers are unable to get back to consistent winning in the near future. LaFleur’s seat is without question getting hotter at this point in time. He’s not ready to admit fault for the offensive struggles though.
