Week 5 will see the Buffalo Bills take on the New England Patriots in what will also be the first time Stefon Diggs returns to Highmark Stadium since leaving the Bills at the end of the 2023 season.
While Diggs did play against the Bills last season as a member of the Houston Texans, that was at NRG Stadium, where he hauled in six catches for 82 yards in a 23-20 win for the Texans.
But this one will be different with Diggs coming back to Buffalo, and you can bet that Bills Mafia might make life a little unpleasant for the former receiver who spent four years with the Bills.
But for Josh Allen, it’s nothing special seeing Stefon come back to Highmark.
“We played him last year,” Allen said. “So, I don’t think it’s anything super crazy, but obviously being back in Buffalo, who knows if the emotions are going to be heightened for him or for the fans or whatever it is, but we’re just going to go out there and try to perform the best we can.”

Bills aiming to take control of AFC East
With the Patriots at 2-2 and Buffalo 4-0, there is a real chance for Sean McDermott’s team to put even more distance between themselves and the chasing pack in the AFC East.
Many aren’t worried about the New York Jets or the Miami Dolphins, but the Patriots potentially have something cooking under Mike Vrabel, so this Week 5 clash, especially on Buffalo’s turf, is a crucial one.
Win, and it would be an easy season sweep of the first round of division games, and the Bills would begin to pull away and make overtaking them a nearly impossible task.
But will the return of Diggs have an impact? Who knows.
However, you can bet it will be a major storyline as the game begins.
