The Dallas Cowboys pulled the trigger on Micah Parsons, trading the star edge rusher to the Green Bay Packers for three-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle Kenny Clark and first-round draft picks in 2026 and ’27, ESPN reported Thursday.
The Packers and Parsons then agreed to a four-year, $188 million contract that includes $120 million fully guaranteed at signing and $136 million in total guarantees, making him the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history, per ESPN.

Parsons released a statement on social media that said, “”I never wanted this chapter to end, but not everything was in my control. My heart has always been here, and it still is. Through it all, I never made any demands. I never asked for anything more than fairness. I only asked that the person I trust to negotiate my contract be part of the process.”
With that, his four-year Cowboy career came to an end, while Dallas acquired a run stopper and future draft capital.
It ends a tumultuous few months for Parsons on the Cowboys, who appeared near a deal before training camp began. From there matters regressed, with Parsons saying Dallas owner Jerry Jones refused to negotiate with his agent David Mulugheta and Jones playing up Parsons’ injury problems from last year.
