Breaking: Milwaukee Brewers Prospect Brock Wilken To Participate In 2024 AFL Home Run Derby

Milwaukee Brewers 2023 first round draft pick Brock Wilken has been selected to participate in the 2024 Arizona Fall League (AFL) home run derby. Eight total players will participate in the competition. The home run derby is scheduled to take place on November 8.

Scouts gave Brock Wilken a 60 grade power upon being drafted in the first round out of Wake Forest University.  In college he belted 17 home runs in 2021, 23 home runs in 2022, and 31 his final season in 2023.  During his first professional season with the Brewers he hit 17 home runs.  In the AFL this year he has three home runs across 18 games.

Outside of Brock Wilken the seven other participates will be Carter Jensen, Josue Briceno, Peyton Williams, Jac Caglianone, Kala’i Rosario, Moises Ballesteros, and Garrett Martin.   Kala’i Rosario is the reigning AFL home run derby champion and will be looking to defend his crown.

The home run derby will be streamed for free on MLB.com.  It will take place on November 8 and will begin at 8:30 PM CT.
