The Orioles announced that they’ll televise a record 20 games from spring training. Nineteen will be called remotely from Baltimore.
In previous years, the Orioles and Washington Nationals had to have the same number of spring training telecasts but with last year’s settlement of the lengthy dispute between the Orioles and Nationals over MASN money, the Orioles are free to show as many games as they wish.
On Wednesday, the Nationals announced that they will not televise their games on MASN. Instead, they’ll join a growing number of teams broadcasting their games directly through Major League Baseball.

All Oriole games will be seen on MASN this season since there’s no longer a need for MASN2. Games also will be seen on MASN+.
The spring training schedule: February 20th, 21st, 22nd, 25th, 26th, 28th, March 1st, 4th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 18th, 19th and 21st.
In addition, the Orioles will televise their Spring Breakout game against the top Boston Red Sox prospects on March 20th as well as the March 22nd exhibition game against the Nationals at Oriole Park.
WBAL/98 Rock will broadcast 12 games: February 20th, 21st, 22nd and 28th as well as March 1st, 7th, 8th, 14th, 15th, 20th, 21st and 22nd.
The Orioles also announced that they’ll be adding veteran broadcaster Josh Lewin, who broadcast some games for the team in 1995 and 1996 when he was with WBAL radio. After the departure of Geoff Arnold, Lewin joins Brett Hollander and Ben Wagner, who will be the lead radio broadcasters.
Kevin Brown returns as lead television broadcaster.Jim Palmer and Ben McDonald return as primary analysts. Brian Roberts again will provide analysis on some games.

Rob Long and Melanie Newman, the recently named Maryland Sportscaster of the Year, will host Orioles pregame and postgame shows on MASN.
Baltimore Orioles Set Franchise Record with 20 Televised Spring Training Games in 2026
The Baltimore Orioles are making a major statement heading into the 2026 MLB season, announcing plans to televise a franchise-record 20 spring training games, giving fans unprecedented access to the team’s preseason action. This expanded broadcast schedule represents a significant shift not only for the Orioles but also for the Mid-Atlantic sports media landscape following major changes involving MASN and Major League Baseball.
Of the 20 spring training telecasts, 19 games will be called remotely from Baltimore, showcasing the organization’s evolving broadcast approach while maintaining high-quality coverage for fans across the region.
MASN Dispute Resolution Opens the Door for Expanded Coverage
In previous years, the Orioles’ spring training television schedule was restricted by a long-standing agreement with the Washington Nationals, which required both clubs to air the same number of spring training games. That limitation stemmed from the well-documented MASN revenue dispute, a legal and financial battle that stretched on for more than a decade.
However, with last year’s settlement finally resolving the MASN dispute, the Orioles are no longer bound by those constraints. As a result, Baltimore now has the freedom to broadcast as many spring training games as it chooses — and the team has wasted no time taking advantage of that flexibility.
This newfound independence allows the Orioles to significantly increase their visibility during spring training, a period that has grown increasingly important for fan engagement, prospect evaluation, and brand growth across Major League Baseball.
Nationals Move Away from MASN, Join MLB Direct-to-Consumer Model
While the Orioles are expanding their presence on MASN, the Washington Nationals are moving in the opposite direction. On Wednesday, the Nationals announced they will no longer televise their games on MASN, opting instead to join a growing list of MLB teams that are broadcasting games directly through Major League Baseball’s digital platforms.
This move highlights the rapidly changing broadcast ecosystem within MLB, as teams seek greater control over distribution, revenue, and fan access. For the Orioles, however, MASN will remain the central hub for game coverage throughout the 2026 season.
All Orioles Games to Air on MASN and MASN+
With the restructuring complete, all Orioles games will air on MASN this season, eliminating the need for MASN2 entirely. In addition, games will also be available on MASN+, the network’s streaming platform, further increasing accessibility for fans who prefer digital viewing options.
The consolidation simplifies the viewing experience and ensures consistency across platforms, a welcome change for Orioles fans who previously had to navigate multiple channels to find games.
