HEATED WARNING: Packers coach fires back with a bold message to the Cowboys as Micah Parsons chatter heats up turning the upcoming clash into must see drama

Packers Coach Sends Warning to Cowboys Amid Micah Parsons Talk

Micah Parsons, Green Bay Packers

There can be a lot of drama in the NFL, and right now, there’s plenty of talk and emotions surrounding the upcoming game between the Dallas Cowboys and Green Bay Packers. This game is scheduled for Sunday, September 28, and it’s Sunday Night Football, so the league obviously thinks a lot of people are going to watch the fireworks.

Now, of course, even after that initial game was scheduled, the Green Bay Packers have acquired star defensive end Micah Parsons from the Dallas Cowboys, so this marks his first time playing his former team. Emotions are going to be high when these two teams meet, and a lot of people are wondering how Parsons will handle the situation.

Will Parsons get soft on the field when he’s up against his former team and expected to sack one of his good friends, Dak Prescott? Well, Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur certainly doesn’t think that’s the case.

Green Bay Packers Coach Matt LaFleur Talks Micah Parsons and Dallas Cowboys

Speaking with reporters leading up to the game, LaFleur made it clear that he’s not worried about the Cowboys or about how Parsons will act on the field.

“I think every game, you’ve got to approach it the same way, whether it’s Week 1 of the regular season, or if you get in the playoffs or the Super Bowl, whatever, you’ve got to come in with the same mindset,” LaFleur told reporters. “The focus is, yeah, you’ve got to know what you’re going against — but the focus always comes back to us and what we’ve got to do and how we need to go out there with the focus and concentration that we need to have.”

He added, “I’m not worried about that (with Parsons).”

Packers Coach Talks Up His Team Against Cowboys

He also gushed over another player the Packers will lean on against the Cowboys: Kenny Clark.

“I think there’s a reason he got a third contract because not many guys do,” LaFleur said, “and certainly I think you have to play at a certain level, which he has, but you also have to be a certain type of guy. I think Kenny is a pro’s pro.”

He added, “I’ve got so much respect for him, as much as anybody that I’ve been around in this game, in terms of his approach, his team-first mentality, his willingness to help others and bring guys along. He wasn’t always the most vocal, but when he talked, everybody listened.”

LaFleur also commented on the Packers’ loss on Sunday to the Cleveland Browns, 13-10. He’s focused on the present and doesn’t like to look past one game.

“The goal is to go 1-0 every week,” LaFleur told reporters. “It (makes him mad) when we start talking about things outside of the next game. Things that are way down the road. Focus on the present, on the now and worry about getting better each and every day.”

Reach out to me with your thoughts on the upcoming game. It appears LaFleur isn’t sweating buckets over Parsons or the Packers having a tough time with the Cowboys. But, he might be proven wrong.
