The Green Bay Packers got Micah Parsons via a trade with the Dallas Cowboys just before the season, and the results so far are, well, very much expected. Green Bay’s defense got better, fiercer and scarier, whether Packers opponents admit it or not.
In just two games, Green Bay showed how sharper its defense’s fangs have become, thanks in large part to what Parsons has been bringing to the table. On Thursday, the Washington Commanders went as far as to triple-team the four-time Pro Bowler just to slow him down and limit the havoc he is wreaking in the trenches.
While Parsons has become an instant hit among Packers fans, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones seems to be just as big of a hero in their eyes.
Following Green Bay’s 27-18 win at Lambeau Field over the Commanders, fans who were still inside the stadium chanted “Thank you, Jerry.” It was a sarcastic jab at Jones for trading Parsons to the Packers instead of just meeting the player’s contract demand.
Jones breaks silence on Packers fans’ troll job

During a Friday appearance on 105.3 The FAN, Jones finally shared his thoughts on the chant that reverberated inside Lambeau Field while Parsons was also being interviewed by the NFL on Prime Video crew.
“The way they’re playing, the way Green Bay is playing, I’m all for them enjoying and chanting anything they really want,” Parsons said (h/t Jori Epstein of Yahoo Sports ).

Jones can’t control what Green Bay fans are feeling, but at least he did acknowledge the glorious time people are having in Titletown as the Packers become the first team to win two games in the 2025 season.
Jones also can’t worry too much about what’s happening with Parsons and Green Bay, especially with Dallas still searching for its first win after losing to the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 1.
