Packers vs. Commanders Week 2: Full Injury Report and Who’s In, Who’s Out

The Green Bay Packers and Washington Commanders will announce their inactive players 90 minutes before kickoff on Thursday night, or roughly 5:45 p.m. CT. This post will update as more information on player availability is known and official gameday inactives for Week 2 are announced.

The Packers have seven players with status designations entering “Thursday Night Football,” including five players listed as questionable. Among those questionable are starting left guard Aaron Banks (groin/ankle), starting right tackle Zach Tom (oblique), cornerback Nate Hobbs (knee) and defensive end Micah Parsons (back), although Parsons played in Week 1 and was available to practice during walkthroughs this week. Banks and Tom are much bigger question marks after suffering injuries on Sunday and not participating in any on-field work this week.

The Commanders have only two questionable players: punter Tress Way (back) and defensive end Deatrich Wise Jr., who was a late add to the injury report on Wednesday with a knee injury. Wise started for the Commanders in Week 1 and had a QB hit.

Who is IN for Packers vs. Commanders?

Quarterback Jordan Love (thumb), receiver Jayden Reed (foot), receiver Dontayvion Wicks (calf), receiver Matthew Golden (ankle), linebacker Quay Walker (quad) and punter Daniel Whelan (knee) do not have an injury designation on the final injury report and are good to go for Thursday night.

Is Micah Parsons going to play vs. Commanders?

Parsons is recovering from a back injury and still ramping up after missing all of training camp, but he played 29 snaps on Sunday without a setback and practiced in a limited capacity this week. The expectation is he will play, but likely on a snap count again. Parsons sacked Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels 4.5 times while with the Cowboys last season.

Will Zach Tom and Aaron Banks play?

Early indications are that Tom and Banks will be stressed to play Thursday night after suffering injuries just four days ago. Matt LaFleur said the team will give them both up to game time to get physically ready to play, but that might just be coach speak. The Packers have a long weekend to rest and recover, so the team could sit the injured pair in hopes of having both available next Sunday in Cleveland. At left guard, 2024 first-round pick Jordan Morgan would be the expected starter if Banks can’t go, while former Eagle Darian Kinnard and rookie Anthony Belton are options behind Tom at right tackle.
