National reaction to Jalen Carter being ejected from the game for spitting on Dak Prescott

The Eagles are an extra point away from tying the game. Still, all of Philadelphia was shocked that Jalen Carter was disqualified from the NFL season kickoff for apparently spitting on Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott. The incident occurred after Philadelphia fullback Ben VanSumeren suffered an injury on the opening kickoff and had to be carted off.

While the Eagles’ medical staff was checking on VanSumeren, Carter started talking trash to Cowboys star quarterback Dak Prescott. He appeared to spit on the signal-caller, drawing the ire of officials who immediately disqualified him from the game.

With Carter out, Jordan Davis, Moro Ojomo, Byron Young, and Gabe Hall will have to step up.

The NFL and social media react to everything, and Carter’s bonehead play was discussed to no avail during the first five minutes of the biggest opener in years.
