After an offseason of turmoil, the Dallas Cowboys finally get to play a game that matters, at the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday Night Football.
The Cowboys begin their post-Micah Parsons era as among the biggest underdogs of the 16-game NFL schedule, an 8 1/2-point road dog against a team given a good chance of defending its crown.

On the plus side, Dallas fans will get their first look at Dak Prescott, DeeDeeLamb and new acquisition George Pickens. There is also hope that the Cowboys’ terrible run defense will improve with Kenny Clark, the player Dallas got (in addition to two first-round picks) for Parsons.
