Atlanta Braves star Marcell Ozuna, also known as “the Big Bear”, celebrated his 34th birthday with his wife Genesis, who penned a warm birthday note for her husband.

The Dominican power hitter is an established veteran in the MLB, building a reputation as one of the best sluggers in the majors over the past decade. After a short postseason run in the MLB in 2024, Ozuna is enjoying the offseason with his family.

On the slugger’s 34th birthday on Monday, his wife Genesis posted a cute video on Instagram featuring several pictures of the couple over the years, with the caption translated from Spanish:

“Today is the birthday party of the man God chose for me to form a family, build a home, serve each other’s backbone at all times, be his friend, get and above all wife. Today is the birthday of most perfect within the imperfections and it’s my husband we are a puzzle, not couples because the spaces I miss we have the pieces to fit.”

Through ups and downs and still together fighting each other against the world. And the fight that is easier to win is the one that is fought in pairs, may God bless you and keep you my love and fill you with life and health to keep filling love and laughter to everyone around you. I love you my little ‘Big Bear’ Ozuna.”

Ozuna met his wife Genesis Guzman as a teenager in the Dominican Republic and started dating. The couple got married in 2016 and have two children together. Their first child, a son, Marcell Jr., was born in 2017, while their second, a daughter, Sofia Valentina, was born in 2019.

The Ozuna household faced plenty of controversy due to a few instances of domestic dispute in recent years. However. Marcell and Genesis seem to have put the past behind them as the family enjoys Marcell’s 34th birthday together.
