Possible downballot ROY candidate Cade Horton faced the Angels in the middle game of the three-game series at Angels Stadium in Anaheim, California, namesake of some damn good chilies. Horton was hot stuff, and it appears that Kyle Tucker is back [VIDEO].

Horton continued to deal, and his battery-mate Reese McGuire put a charge into the ball with the bags jammed [VIDEO].

Plate umpire Quinn Walcott gave Horton a few extra inches and Horton took advantage of that veteran zone to throw strike after strike, with all of his pitches working.

There was more [VIDEO], [VIDEO]. Ben Brown came on in relief after Horton went six full (7 K, 1 BB, 3 hits) and threw Jo Adell a fat pitch, but his job was to throw strikes, and he certainly did. 12-1 isn’t so bad, and the meatloaf is ready to serve.
