Deputies rescue 12 dogs living in horrific conditions in Tonopah

Có thể là hình ảnh về 1 người và chóTONOPAH, AZ (AZFamily) — A dozen dogs are recovering after the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office said on Friday it saved them from deplorable conditions and neglect in the West Valley.

Deputies said they found the 12 dogs, all underweight, living in hazardous conditions at a home in Tonopah. One pup had an untreated, severe leg injury, which was causing long-term anguish. Bodycam video from one of the deputies showed the malnourished dog limping around.

The home didn’t have any electricity or running water and there was trash everywhere, MCSO said. Some of the buildings on the property were too run-down to live in.

MCSO didn’t release any details about possible arrests but the investigation remains ongoing. “Sheriff Sheridan will not tolerate animal abuse or neglect and continues to commit the full resources and weight of the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office to ensure justice for animals who cannot speak for themselves,” MCSO said in a social media post.
