The San Francisco Giants have been building something quietly over the last week. Three straight wins. A roster that is starting to find its rhythm at a time of year when consistency matters most.
Friday night in Baltimore added another chapter. The Giants handled the Orioles 6-3 at Oriole Park at Camden Yards, with the offense doing its damage in bunches and the pitching staff doing enough to keep things comfortable for most of the night.
San Francisco improved to 6-8 on the season and 3-1 on the road. The winning streak is three and counting.
Jung Hoo Lee Breaks Through

The moment Giants fans had been waiting for arrived in the seventh inning. Jung Hoo Lee had been searching for his stroke through the early weeks of the season, batting in the .100s and struggling to find consistent contact. On Friday, he found it in a big way.
With the Giants leading 4-1 and two outs in the seventh, Lee worked a full count against Baltimore left-handed reliever Nick Rake before pulling a slider over the right-field wall for a two-run homer. His first of the season, coming in his 14th game, and it could not have come at a better time. Earlier in the game, he had added a double in the second inning, finishing with two extra-base hits on the night.
The breakthrough performance was exactly what San Francisco needed from their right fielder. A healthy, confident Jung Hoo Lee changes what this lineup is capable of.
Adames and Schmitt Fuel the Giants’ Offense

Willy Adames was the first to get things going. The shortstop launched a 402-foot solo homer in the third inning, his second of the season, to put San Francisco on the board. He followed that up with an RBI hit in the fourth to push the lead to 3-0, finishing the night with multiple hits as part of a Giants lineup that pounded out 12 in total.
Casey Schmitt was relentless at the plate. He recorded three doubles on the night, with his third bringing home Matt Chapman in the seventh to set the table for Lee’s homer. Adames, Chapman, Schmitt, and Lee all finished with at least two hits apiece.

Roupp Bounces Back
Landen Roupp gave the Giants exactly what they needed on the mound. After a difficult stretch earlier in the season, the right-hander delivered six strong innings against Baltimore, allowing just one earned run on five hits while walking two and striking out four. His ERA now sits at 3.24.
The bullpen handled the rest. Keaton Winn, JT Brubaker, and Matt Gage combined for two scoreless frames before Blade Tidwell gave up a two-run homer to Gunnar Henderson in the ninth. He steadied from there to close it out.
Final Word for the Giants
Three straight wins. A roster finding its rhythm at the right time. And a Jung Hoo Lee breakthrough that could not have been better timed.
Logan Webb takes the mound Saturday with the Giants chasing a fourth straight win. They are starting to look like themselves again.
