Aaron Rodgers signing with the Pittsburgh Steelers during the offseason gave the team a burst of energy to the point they revamped its offense. The team has added a few key additions on the offensive side of the football by adding wide receiver DK Metcalf and tight end Jonnu Smith to name a few.

However, there is some discussion that a former Super Bowl champion could also be signing with the Steelers as a free agent to join Aaron Rodgers. Let’s take a closer look into who it is and what it could mean for the team.

While appearing on the “Club Random” podcast with Bill Maher in late June, Odell Beckham Jr discussed the potential of joining Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

“I love him, we’ve had conversations. I won’t say that it’s not a possibility, and I won’t say that I haven’t had any communications. … I f—ing love [Mike] Tomlin. I was actually supposed to be drafted to the Steelers. That was the meeting that I had I was like, ‘I think I’m going to the Steelers.’ And the Giants ended up taking me at No. 12.”

The Pittsburgh Steelers held the 15th pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, three picks after the New York Giants. OBJ is a free agent and could be an intriguing name to be a secondary wide receiver as the team’s wide receivers currently are DK Metcalf, Calvin Austin, Roman Wilson, Scott Miller, and Robert Woods.

Beckham Jr recently posted about not being retired, despite rumors suggesting so, as he posted on Twitter, “No seriously. Plz stop reading everything on the internet, and stop texting me happy retirement b4 u piss me off. That will get no response. I promise u the day I’m done I will let u know. Again if u text me happy retirement im just gon have to block u. Thanks.”

There were rumors of Odell Beckham Jr and Aaron Rodgers pairing up with the Green Bay Packers years ago as well. It will be interesting to see if this pairing will happen in the 2025 season.
