he Green Bay Packers and quarterback Jordan Love played their first preseason game of the year on Saturday night against the New York Jets. Things did not go well for the team.
When all was said and done, the Packers got dominated by a final score of 30-10. Offensively, there was not much to be excited about all night long.
Love finished the game completing one of his five passing attempts for seven yards. He was also sacked once.
Granted, a few of those incompletions were dropped passes. However, it was far from the kind of performance that Green Bay fans were hoping to see. Love enters the 2025 season with a lot of questions surrounding him.

Last season, Love was unable to live up to the hype. He suffered a knee injury in Week 1 that forced him to miss two games and was never able to find his rhythm. There are reasons for concern about the Packers’ franchise quarterback.
Following his preseason clunker, Love was under fire on social media.
Plenty of fans took to X to share their thoughts about his game. There were not many positive things said about him.
“Jordan Love is an average guy playing with an elite playcaller,” one comment read.
Another fan wrote, “Is Malik Willis better than Jordan Love?”
“Jordan Love better play the whole game at this point,” a third comment said.
A fourth fan chimed in, “Again Jordan Love’s accuracy down field is terrible. It has been for two seasons now. Having receivers like Golden that can stretch the field doesn’t mean anything if the QB can’t throw an accurate pass.”
Thankfully, the game was simply a preseason game. Love has plenty of time to get rolling and start the regular season off strong.
He’s facing a lot of pressure though. Fans are starting to grow impatient waiting on him to have a breakout season and prove that he can be a legitimate star.
Hopefully, he’s able to shake off the rough performance. Whether or not he plays in the final two preseason games remains to be seen, but it looks like the Green Bay offense could use more in-game reps together.
