Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders get massive pay raise in wake of Netflix show

The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders (DCC) are perhaps the most well-known and popular cheer group in the NFL, and the group is now among the highest paid after huge pay raises following the premiere of season two of their popular Netflix show “America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.”

During season one, when asked how much money they made, one cheerleader compared it to Chick-fil-A employee salaries, who, per ZipRecruiter, make $15 an hour in Texas or approximately $31,200 per year working 40 hours a week.

However, after season 1 aired, the group received 400% pay raises, which would mean they were making approximately $124,800 using Chick-fil-A salaries as a benchmark, though the total amount made is dependent upon appearances and tenure with the group, which still does not receive health care coverage.

“Hi! Many of the opportunities we get are optional and based on your schedule, so it depends on the girl! Hoping for one day to make 75K!, This is also a part-time job, and sometimes it’s only 2.5 hours a night! They’re very respectful of our time and our personal lives!” said Megan.

Season two of “America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders” is now airing on Netflix.
