George Kittle’s Change in Physical Appearance is Turning Heads

For the last several years, George Kittle has been a huge fixture in the San Francisco 49ers’ offense, and over the last two years, he has become arguably the NFL’s best tight end, especially as the Kansas City Chiefs’ Travis Kelce has shown his age.

Kittle isn’t just known for being a premier pass-catching threat and security blanket for the Niners. He also blocks adeptly to open things up for his teammates, and he’s also known for his physical style of play, as he loves to initiate and create contact with or without the football.

He was seen in an Instagram post sporting some new tattoos on his arm, and fans had a variety of reactions.

“This goes so hard!” one fan wrote.

“Here me out aragorn on the other shoulder,” another fan wrote.

“Now Frodo Baggins on the other arm,” a third fan wrote.

“Holy [expletive] that looks so good!” a fourth fan wrote.

“Hard,” a fifth fan wrote.

“NOW HE NEED THE RING!!! Let go get it!!!” a sixth fan wrote.

Kittle caught 78 passes and posted 1,106 yards and eight touchdowns last season. While the Niners were ravaged by a gnarly rash of injuries starting in training camp, Kittle was one key player who was able to remain mostly healthy throughout the year.

He was named to his fourth straight Pro Bowl and sixth Pro Bowl overall in 2024. While the Las Vegas Raiders’ Brock Bowers and the Arizona Cardinals’ Trey McBride had more receiving yards than Kittle, Kittle averaged more yards per reception than either of them.

Pro Football Focus gave him a 92.1 overall grade for the 2024 campaign, which was the highest it gave to any NFL tight end.

San Francisco let a number of key players leave this offseason in free agency, but Kittle and several others remain. At age 31, he should have at least a couple of productive years left in him, barring a serious injury.
