🚨 BREAKING IN SAN FRANCISCO: Demarcus Robinson’s Number Tease Reveals Just How Quickly 49ers Moved on from Brandon Aiyuk 👇 A Swift Transition: Robinson’s Bold Move Speaks Volumes — And Aiyuk’s Sudden Departure Leaves Fans Asking Questions.

Good riddance.

There have been some jersey number changes as a result of the San Francisco 49ers signing wide receiver Mike Evans. The veteran has said he plans to wear No. 5 with the Niners, which means that Demarcus Robinson, who wore No. 5 with San Francisco last season, will have to wear a different number.

Robinson threw out the first pitch of Tuesday night’s baseball game between the San Francisco Giants and Los Angeles Dodgers at Oracle Park.

Robinson was wearing No. 11 on the Giants jersey he wore, which may be a tease of the number he’ll wear next season for the Niners.

If it is, it’s a not-so-subtle signal that the 49ers have already moved on from wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk.

While Aiyuk is still technically on the Niners, he will almost certainly be with a different team before next season. San Francisco is still trying to trade him but it may end up having to release him if there are no takers.

Obviously, the way the whole Aiyuk saga has played out has been non-ideal for the 49ers. The fact it reached a point where they voided his contract speaks to how bad things got and just how irreconcilable the situation became.

If Robinson does indeed wear No. 11, that would be fitting. It would signal that both sides have moved on and that number does not hold any significance for San Francisco, even if Aiyuk did a lot of good things with the franchise.

Robinson did bounce the first pitch, though, so maybe that’s a bit of a bad omen if he does end up wearing that number.

The veteran receiver also met with Giants players in the clubhouse ahead of the game, and fans on social media were already joking about how he may pass the injury bug the 49ers apparently passed to the Golden State Warriors to the Giants now as well.

Outfielder Jung Hoo Lee did have to leave the game with an injury, but that was because of an awkward slide at home plate and probably not because of some lingering exposure from the electrical substation that Robinson brought into the clubhouse, as the conspiracy crowd might believe.

There was another small number snafu after the 49ers brought back Dre Greenlaw. Linebacker Luke Gifford made it clear he would change from No. 57 so Greenlaw could have his old number back, so the linebacker room and wide receiver room have both had to deal with some number changes.

If Robinson does end up wearing No. 11 for the Niners, though, that’s a fitting way to end the whole Aiyuk saga: almost by pretending it didn’t even happen.
