The Kansas City Chiefs made another move to add depth to their receiver position. KC has agreed to re-sign wideout JuJu Smith-Schuster to a one-year deal, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero. Smith-Schuster, 28, figures to fill a similar reserve role to what he did last season with the Chiefs. In 14 games, he had 18 catches for 231 yards with two touchdowns, while also serving as one of the team’s best blockers on the perimeter. The eight-year veteran also made the most of a second chance with the Chiefs after playing one season with the team in 2022.
Smith-Schuster rejoined KC in 2024 after the New England Patriots released him in August. In fact, the Patriots paid the $7 million remaining on Smith-Schuster’s contract to ensure he’d no longer be there.
