OMG!! Joey Bosa Surprises Fans by Snubbing Brother in Free Agency Move

Five-time Pro Bowl defensive end Joey Bosa reached an agreement on a one-year, $12.6 million deal with the Buffalo Bills on Tuesday, according to ESPN analyst Adam Schefter.

Bosa, who is brothers with Nick Bosa, seemed like a clear fit for the San Francisco 49ers after the Los Angeles Chargers released him six days ago. Now, he goes to the other side of the coast, opting for Buffalo instead.

After the deal was announced, fans took to X to share their mixed reactions.

“LETS GO WE DIDNT GET JOEY BOSA,” one 49ers fan posted.

“Have fun, Joey. Should’ve just joined your brother, Nick in San Francisco,” another fan chimed in.

“Not that I wanted Joey Bosa to be a Niner so badly, but it’s bad they couldn’t even land him with the obvious lure of him wanting to team with his brother Nick,” said another fan.

“Maybe the #49ers dodged a bullet by not signing Joey Bosa,” one user speculated.

“Guess Joey Bosa didn’t wanna get shown up by his little brother Nick so he signed with Buffalo #FTTB #49ers,” another fan suggested.

“Glad we signed D Rob [Demarcus Robinson] and said NO to Joey Bosa!” said one final fan.

Coming off a season where he played in 14 games and recorded 5.0 sacks, Bosa is looking to prove he can return to his dominant form after a few injury-plagued years.

With Bosa now heading to Buffalo, the 49ers will turn their focus to other roster moves, while the Bills strengthen their defense with another proven playmaker.
