Braves News: Camp roster cuts, FanGraphs Top 40 Braves prospects, and more

Friday marked another day of roster cuts for the Atlanta Braves, who made a few moves to trim down the number of players in camp. Up first, the club announced that right-handers Domingo Gonzalez and Rolddy Muñoz were optioned to Triple-A Gwinnett, leaving 46 players in camp.

The club later announced that outfielder Carlos Rodríguez was also optioned to Triple-A Gwinnett, trimming the number to 45.

Toronto Blue Jays reliever Erik Swanson will undergo an MRI after dealing with elbow discomfort. He is expected to begin the season on the injured list.

Seattle Mariners right-hander George Kirby will start the season on the injured list due to shoulder inflammation. Fortunately, there is no structural damage.

Milwaukee Brewers southpaw Aaron Ashby suffered an oblique strain and will likely be out for two weeks.

Chicago White Sox right-handers Prelander Berroa and Juan Carela will undergo Tommy John surgery and miss the entire 2025 season and a portion of 2026.
