Deebo Samuel has called out a fake report regarding his trade request.
The star wide receiver is set to leave the San Francisco 49ers after spending six years with the NFC team, and it will be interesting to see where he ends up.
Samuel did ask to leave the Niners, demanding a trade amid rife speculation over his future, yet not all of the reports about his request were genuine.
Some fans went out of their way to create a fake quote, claiming the wideout said, “When you’re the best player in the locker room, that’s a problem,” to justify his desire to join a Super Bowl contender.
The 29-year-old has ignored much of the speculation, but he did not let this one slide, taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, to call it out.
“Like what’s wrong with yall folks,” he wrote. “Like I said folks many any story for clicks. Carryon!!! Not once said this!”

Deebo Samuel Also Called Out A Reporter Over What He Suggested Was A Fake Report

While Deebo Samuel doesn’t address most of what’s said about him, this wasn’t his first time either.
He previously called Tim Kawakami after he claimed the player was “not in shape…20 pounds overweight. And that led to a lot of his lack of explosion.”
“people make up anything in they head!!!!” he declared, though he later deleted the tweet.
In any case, Samuel registered the lowest scrimmage yard total since he played just seven games in 2020, with 806, and had eight games in which he recorded less than 25 receiving yards last season.
