A Steelers star has just spoken out about Aaron Rodgers, saying what every fan has been thinking. With the uncertainty surrounding Rodgers’ future, whatâs next for the legendary QB and his potential impact on the Steelersâ plans? Fans are eagerly awaiting how this situation unfolds, especially with the future of Pittsburgh at stake.
The Pittsburgh Steelers are still trying to figure out what will happen at quarterback, and while the likelihood is an Aaron Rodgers return, the four-time MVP has given them no certain answer just yet.
Running back Jaylen Warren was someone that endeared himself to Rodgers throughout the season, but as the team waits and starts their offseason program, they can not wait for Rodgers to decide as they start the team building process.
Talking with NFL Network on Friday, Warren talked about Rodgers and how they have to approach the situation.
âYou know, Iâm not really expecting anything,â Warren said on Good Morning Football. âWhatever happens, happens. Iâm rocking with whoeverâs at the quarterback position. But if he comes back, great. If he doesnât, then weâll miss him.â
Mike McCarthy was interviewed by broadcaster Kevin Harlan at the celebration of life for the late president of the Packers, Bob Harlan. Kevin, who is Bobâs son, had to put his journalist cap on for a second and ask McCarthy about Rodgers.
âI donât know. I would love to tell everybody [there is] breaking news,â McCarthy said. âItâs really cool to see Aaron at 42 and to see a young man at 22 and all that heâs been able to accomplish and where heâs at in his personal life and trying to make this decision. Heâs in a really good place, but … I think heâs in a really good place.â
Under McCarthy, Rodgers threw for 42,615 yards and 337 touchdowns, winning two MVPs. However, now 42, Rodgers has to decide if another year of football makes sense for him. He said after the season he was more refreshed than years past, but that does not mean he is a guarantee to return.
