The last time Taylor Swift was at New Oleans’ Superdome, she performed in front of a packed stadium for her world-renowned “Eras Tour” concert series. The 35-year-old singer/songwriter is now expected to return to the same venue on Sunday to cheer on her boyfriend Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs as they look to secure an unprecedented three-peat in Super Bowl LIX. During Swift’s three-show stop in New Orleans back in October, more than a few of her fans pointed out that the “Fortnight” singer may have performed her alleged “Tayvoodoo” in order for the Chiefs to make it back to the Super Bowl.
For context, “Tayvoodoo” is a concept that relates to Swift’s supposed influence on Kelce and the Chiefs in terms of their ability to win games. Some believe it has something to do with mystical powers and karmic forces, while others explain it as more of the luck she brings to the two-time defending champs. At one point, Kelce was asked to share his thoughts on his girlfriend’s supposed Tayvoodoo. The Chiefs star decided to confront the myth head-on.
“I think we’re both, you know, we love to manifest things for sure,” Kelce said. “You can’t say it’s not real because we’re here, right? “So, whatever she was doing, I’m sure it helped. For me, not being able to be here supporting here during those weeks, it made me feel like I was there.” Travis talking about the tayvoodoo when she played in New Orleans on the Eras Tour pic.twitter.com/P14KbSnV4q — | fan acct. (@TayvisHaze) February 4, 2025 Kelce is neither denying nor confirming anything with his statement here. However, as he said, he and Swift are both the type who “love to manifest things,” and there’s no denying that they are both manifesting a three-peat for the Chiefs. Superstition or not, you can be sure that Swift will be cheering for Kelce as loud as she can come Sunday.
