Jason Kelce Makes His Super Bowl LIX Team Allegiance Extremely Clear

As the Kansas City Chiefs prepare to take on the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX on Feb.9, Jason Kelce has made it clear where his loyalties lie. In a teaser clip from their “New Heights” podcast, posted on Instagram, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce jokingly pointed out his brother’s choice of clothing. “We can’t tell who you are rooting for, Jason,” Travis Kelce said sarcastically. During the podcast, Jason Kelce was wearing an Eagles-branded green cap and sweater. “This is just what I wear around the house,” Jason Kelce responded. “I have a lot of Eagles gear.”

Fans quickly reacted to the exchange, flooding the comments section with mixed opinion. View the original article to see embedded media. “He has to live with Kylie. She is a huge Eagles fan,” a commenter said. “BUSTED! Although when it comes down to the final minutes we will see where his heart leads him,” another claimed. “I get he’s a very good big brother …buuut I don’t think he has a choice, he’s definitely cheering on the Birds,” one claimed.

“We got you Travis!!! Go Chiefs!” a fan expressed support for Travis Kelce. “Poor Jason it’s happening again! Go Chiefs,” another predicted. “Chiefs will show him who rules!! Go Chiefs!!!” one commented. “The man said I’ll cheer for my brother but I will be rooting for the Eagles! Nothing wrong with that. He still loves them guys, it’s only been one season. Go Eagles!!!” another explained.

This isn’t the first time Jason Kelce has openly stated his preference. In a resurfaced clip from a previous “New Heights” episode, Jason Kelce responded to a fan question about his loyalty in a Chiefs vs. Eagles Super Bowl. “I will root for the Eagles, of course, because I will always be an Eagle first and foremost,” he said.
