Taylor Swift Victimized by Troll Skip Bayless

The Kansas City Chiefs win over the Houston Texans that saw Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes advance to the AFC Championship was marred by several poor referee decisions. Multiple roughing the passer and unnecessary roughness penalties saw fans question the legitimacy of those calls, and now sports media personality Skip Bayless is blaming Taylor Swift, Kelce’s partner, for them.

Bayless, the former FS1 Undisputed speaker who is now an unemployed troll, has made a connection between the Chiefs, Swift and the penalties, and it’s one that many likely have made too. “This is the Taylor Swift effect,” Bayless said. “She is a one-woman ratings juggernaut. ‘Protect her! Prop her up! Award her boyfriend’s team with phantom penalties. Get them to New Orleans! The NFL needs the Swifties. Protect ‘em! Prop ‘em up! Make sure the Chiefs advance!'”

So, let’s be real about this. Is Swift, being in a relationship, making the NFL a billion-dollar industry “rig” games to get Kansas City to the Super Bowl so as to secure higher ratings? Well, that’s what Skip is talking about here.

There were no doubt many odd calls in the Chiefs game, in which Swift was spotted in Kelce’s suite along with WNBA star Caitlin Clark cheering on her boyfriend, but people seem to forget that the Texans only scored 12 points. Not Swift or the referees.

Either way, the Chiefs advanced to their seventh straight conference championship, and yes, Swift will likely be in attendance again to cheer on Travis. Keep a look out for those dubious penalties that the NFL will make sure happen, folks … and try to ignore the trolls.
