WATCH: Deebo Samuel shows off spot-on imitation of Brock Purdy yelling

This 49ers wideout has proven to be quite the jokester when it comes to his teammates.

After sharing how he messed with rookie wideouts Ricky Pearsall and Jacob CowingDeebo Samuel is poking fun at another one of his San Francisco 49ers teammates. This time, it’s Brock Purdy, the team’s quarterback.

The Purdy-Samuel connection hasn’t been as strong this year as in the past, but the duo is still certainly a very tight one on and off of the field. When asked about whether Purdy is as “genuine” as he seems to be, Samuel confirmed that he is, and attempted to provide a representation at his quarterback’s unique personality.

Samuel noted that Purdy tends to yell a lot, but didn’t really make it seem like his quarterback’s assertions are all that intimidating. Check out his short impersonation of the 2022 Mr. Irrelevant in the clip below.

Purdy’s third year as a pro has been much tougher than the first two, it’s his first campaign with a passer rating below 100 and perhaps not coincidentally, the first that won’t be ending with a playoff run. However, it’s easy to argue that Samuel has been to blame, at least in part- after signing a major contract extension, he’s struggled to come anywhere close to his usual level of production.

Even so, it’s nice to see that there’s still plenty of camaraderie between the San Francisco offense, even as the unit has failed to reach the heights it did a year ago. With pretty much everyone involved set to come back for 2025, we’ll see if they’re able to bounce back. After missing the playoffs in the wake of a close-call loss in Super Bowl LVIII, the expectation will certainly be a return to the postseason for Kyle Shanahan’s squad.
