Fans Defend Travis Kelce After Comment from Chiefs TE Noah Gray

Travis Kelce made a return to his hometown in Week 15 as the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Cleveland Browns 21-7 at Huntington Bank Field. Throughout the game, Kelce was on the hot mic, and the Chiefs released a behind-the-scenes video of the former Cincinnati Bearcats star’s homecoming. But it was what fellow Kansas City tight end Noah Gray said toward his teammate that caught fans’ attention.

On the sideline, the two tight ends were having a discussion while looking on before Gray hit Kelce with an insult that nobody wants to hear at his age (35). “You got the whites coming in, dude,” Gray said as he touched Kelce’s hair. “You’re getting old.”

Still, Kelce seemed to be excited by the news, giving a positive response. “Hell yeah, baby,” Kelce added. “Let it come in, man. Can’t wait.” “you got the whites coming in, you’re getting old” “hell yeah baby, let it come in man, can’t wait”

(@kaiamal13) December 18, 2024 Some fans, especially those of Kelce’s girlfriend, Taylor Swift, did not appreciate what Gray had said, coming to Kelce’s defense on social media. “he’s being so mean omg,” one fan said. “not him calling travis a hag, watch those tayblessings get revoked next game,” added another.

“he’s calling him a hag omfg respect your senior citizens, noah,” wrote a third. “noah gray watch urself,” chimed in a fourth. “Yet Travis looks younger than him & Noah is 25,” commented a fifth. “Stop calling him a hag,” posted a sixth. Kelce finished the game with four catches for 27 yards, while Gray added two receptions for 21 yards and a touchdown.

With the win, the Chiefs moved to 13-1 on the season and still hold the best record in the NFL. They will get the Houston Texans on Saturday for their final home game of the year.
