The Kansas City Chiefs got the job done on Sunday Night Football – barely.
Kansas City topped Los Angeles, 19-17, thanks to a game-winning field goal by kicker Matthew Wright. The game-winning kick doinked off the left upright, but still managed to make it over the crossbar, giving the Chiefs the win.
Andy Reid‘s team has now clinched the AFC West for the ninth straight year.
“It’s our first goal every single year to win the AFC West,” Mahomes said postgame. “It’s a great division. We’re in a lot of rivalries where everybody’s played each other tough and three teams are going to probably make the playoffs, that speaks to the division that we play in. To be able to win this division, to gain another game in the playoff picture — it was an important game for us against a really good football team. We found a way to get a win, but now we got to keep building if we want to get to our ultimate goal.’’
While the Chiefs got the win on the field, a “stunning” Kansas City cheerleader turned heads off of it.
It was a cold one on Sunday night in Kansas City, but Sadie managed to heat things up on the sideline.
The Chiefs cheerleader has amassed a nice following on social media, with close to 5,000 followers on Instagram.
The Chiefs, 12-1 on the season, will be back on the field next weekend, taking on the Cleveland Browns.
Kickoff between Kansas City and Cleveland is scheduled for 1 p.m. E.T.
The Week 15 game will air on CBS.
