Bills showing interest in Skyler Bell.

The Buffalo Bills could look to draft some wide receiver help, and the team is showing some interest in an intriguing name.

Buffalo traded for DJ Moore to be the team’s No. 1 receiver. But the team could look to add some more depth to the position. And, with the NFL Draft just weeks away, the Bills are showing interest in UConn Huskies receiver Skyler Bell, according to Ryan Talbot of Syracuse.com.

“Per a league source, the Bills have shown significant interest in UConn WR Skyler Bell,” Talbot wrote on X. “Bell finished 2025 with 101 receptions for 1,278 yds & 13 TDs. The WR has good speed & can hurt teams in all three levels of the field. He’s projected to be a day-two pick.”

The Bills don’t have a second-round pick, but he’s expected to be a third-round pick. Buffalo could also look to trade up in the third round to bolster the receiver position.

Bell is a deep ball threat who can add some more speed to the Bills’ receiving core and also chip in on special teams. He spent two years at UConn after three years at Wisconsin, and is coming off the best season of his career with 1,278 yards and 13 touchdowns.

Bell is one of the top receivers available and is expected to be a third-round pick in the 2026 MLB Draft.

NFL Draft analyst Lance Zierlein of NFL.com compared him to Michael Gallup. And, he had plenty of praise for the Huskies receiver.

“Bell is an inside/outside target with adequate size and field-stretching speed,” Zierlein wrote. “He has the tools to beat press quickly and the acceleration/cut quickness to open clean windows. While he’s sudden in and out of his break points, his route-running can be a tad mechanical at times.

“Bell’s catch focus appeared sharper in 2025 but his career drop total rivals his touchdown total. The TDs left on the field due to underthrown passes at UConn will turn into NFL touchdowns with an accurate passer. Bell’s speed and upside should make him a productive starter.”

Zierlein believes Bell’s speed and his ability to create yards after the catch are the key to success in the NFL. But the 6-foot receiver isn’t known for his ability to win the 50-50 balls. And, he’s more of a body catcher, which could be an issue in the NFL.

Bills Showing Interest in Draft WRs

Buffalo has been widely mocked to be defensive-heavy in the 2026 NFL Draft, but the team is also showing interest in wide receivers.

Bills general manager Brandon Beane said there are a couple of receivers the team likes and has talked to.

“There are some good wide receivers in this draft, and we’ve interviewed a few,” Beane said. He also provided insight when asked about wide receivers and what the Bills look for. Position-less players. Can you play inside, can you play outside? That way, when we break the huddle, we can look around for the right mismatch.”

The Bills have been linked to receiver and linebacker help ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft on April 23-25.
