On Wednesday night, the Atlanta Braves beat the Athletics by a score of 5-1 (at home) in Georgia.
The Braves are now 4-2 in their first six games of the 2026 MLB season.
Braves World Series Champion Is Still An MLB Free Agent

With the season underway, it’s worth noting that former Braves pitcher Luke Jackson still remains a free agent.
He is available to sign with any team in the MLB.
The 34-year-old is coming off a season where he went 2-5 with a 4.06 ERA in 52 games for the Seattle Mariners, Detroit Tigers and Texas Rangers.

Jackson’s MLB Career

Jackson was picked in the first round of the 2010 MLB Draft.
He spent the first two seasons of his career playing for the Rangers.
Following the Rangers, Jackson had the longest single run of his career (five seasons) with the Braves.

During the 2021 season, Jackson went 2-2 with a 1.98 ERA in 71 games for Atlanta.
He also helped the franchise win the World Series Championship that year.
