HE’S BACK & READY TO DESTROY DEFENSES: Bills Front Office Just Confirmed Secret Negotiations to Bring Back Josh Allen’s DEADLY Playoff Weapon – The Same Beast Who Torched Defenses With 5 Catches for 78 Yards in Only 2 Postseason Games!

The Buffalo Bills are working on bringing back an integral part of their offense down the final stretch of the 2025 season.

The team’s wide receiving corps struggled at times during the last season, with the pass-catchers often failing to get separation and opposing defenses ratcheting up the pressure on quarterback Josh Allen as a result. They did find success with two late-season pickups, and now could be close to bringing back one of them.

Bills Working on Return for Brandin Cooks

Beane told reporters on Monday that the team was having discussions to bring back veteran receiver Brandin Cooks, who came to the team as a waiver wire pickup in December.

“Brandon Beane said he’s had conversations with Brandin Cooks and his agent. Cooks remains a free agent right now,” noted WGR 550 reporter Sal Capaccio in a post on X.

Cooks appeared in five games for the Bills with two starts, making five receptions for 114 yards. He was also a top performer in the playoffs, making five receptions for 78 yards in two games.

Cooks had already expressed a desire to come back to Buffalo after his successful but short tenure. In his season-ending interview after the team’s loss to the Denver Broncos in the divisional round of the playoffs, Cooks said he enjoyed being part of the team and the chance to play with Allen.

“I would love to be a Buffalo Bill,” Cooks said, via SI.com. “The process of getting here, coming here for those seven or so weeks, and building these relationships, it’s a special place. Playing with Josh, and just continue to just grow throughout those weeks.”

Cooks added that he would have one goal if he returned to Buffalo — winning a Super Bowl.

“Got a lot of love for [Allen],” added Cooks. “I believe so much in him, and ultimately, I just want to be there for him. You know, help him ultimately hoist that trophy.”

Bills Face Other WR Decisions

The Bills have already made some changes to their wide receiving corps, parting ways with veteran Curtis Samuel after a two-year tenure marked by injuries and inconsistent play. They face another decision on third-year receiver Keon Coleman, who was benched twice last season for disciplinary reasons.

Coleman had a supporter in Cooks, who questioned why Bills owner Terry Pegula would single out Coleman during the press conference were Joe Brady was introduced as the team’s new head coach.

“When you hear something like that, you’re like, ‘Well, am I wanted?’ That’s the truth, as a player,” Cooks said. “Because typically you don’t hear those things, but when you hear it, you’re like, ‘Well, am I wanted? And if not, what do I do?’

“But if it’s like, ‘We still want you, but we gotta figure this thing out,’ that’s when you put that chip on your shoulder and you go to work and prove yourself right. I’ve always been a big believer in not proving people wrong but proving yourself right on what you can do.”
