REAL NEWS 99%: Dodgers Reportedly Interested in Nolan Arenado in Potential Blockbuster Trade

On Sunday, baseball fans were sent into a frenzy after All-Star third baseman Nolan Arenado posted a series of photos on Instagram along with the song “dodger blue” by Kendrick Lamar.

Dodgers Reportedly Interested in Nolan Arenado in Potential Blockbuster Trade

There have now been reports that the Los Angeles Dodgers have interest in adding Arenado this offseason.

It’s widely known that the St. Louis Cardinals are open to trading the 10-time Gold Glove winner since the organization will be using 2025 as time to rebuild the team.

Randy Miller, New York Yankees beat reporter for NJ.com, gave some insight on the potential Arenado trade.

“One guy that could be a possibility [for the Yankees] is Arenado from St. Louis,” Miller said on WFAN Radio. “I think the Cardinals are trying to trade him, St. Louis would have to pick up some of the money and maybe the Yankees could have a deal where they trade some prospects. … I keep hearing it’s going to be either the Yankees or the Dodgers — I think he’s a West Coast guy that would prefer to go to the Dodgers and I think the Dodgers want him.”

Arenado, 34, has publicly said that he hopes to play meaningful October baseball in the coming seasons, a feat he likely won’t accomplish in St. Louis for some time.

The third baseman is a Southern California native and grew up in the Orange County area.

At first, the song choice on Arenado’s Instagram post seemed nothing outside of music preference.

But after reports surfaced about the Dodgers’ interest in the third baseman, it seems that Arenado’s song choice was a bit more strategic.

Could he have posted that song to indicate his preferred trade destination? We likely won’t ever know the answer, but Arenado is certainly a player who embraces the west coast.

It would be interesting if Arenado did in fact join the reigning World Series champions since the lineup already includes Max Muncy at third base.

If the team brought in Arenado to play third base, Muncy would have to go back to second base, pushing Mookie Betts to shortstop.
