Packers vs. Bengals: Who’s in, who’s out for Week 6?

The Green Bay Packers and Cincinnati Bengals will announce their inactive players 90 minutes before kickoff on Sunday, or roughly 1:55 p.m. CT. This post will update as more information on player availability is known and official gameday inactives for Week 6 are announced.

Despite coming off the bye week, the Packers listed nine players with status designations on the final injury report on Friday, including six players with a questionable status. Starting offensive linemen Raseed Walker, Aaron Banks and Zach Tom, starting cornerback Nate Hobbs and kicker Brandon McManus are all questionable to play, so the inactive list will be an important one on Sunday. The Bengals listed All-Pro receiver Ja’Marr Chase and starting guard Dylan Fairchild as questionable, and first-round pick Shemar Stewart is doubtful to play.

Who is IN for Packers vs. Bengals?

Quarterback Jordan Love (left thumb/ankle) and tight end Tucker Kraft (elbow) were full participants in practice all week and do not have a status designation for Sunday, meaning they will play. Others without a status designation for the Packers include edge rusher Kingsley Enagbare, offensive lineman Jordan Morgan and receiver Savion Williams.

Who do we know is OUT for Packers vs. Bengals?

The Packers already ruled out four players: defensive tackle Devonte Wyatt, rookie right tackle Anthony Belton, receiver Christian Watson and offensive lineman Jacob Monk. Wyatt, the team’s best interior defender, injured his knee in Dallas. Expect more snaps out of Karl Brooks on Sunday. Belton injured his ankle in practice during Week 4 and is not close to a return, so Jordan Morgan, Darian Kinnard and Donovan Jennings are the three healthy backups entering Sunday. The Packers did not activate Watson (designated for return from PUP list) or Monk (designated for return from IR) to the 53-man roster.

The Bengals didn’t rule out anyone on the final injury report, but former Packer Lucas Patrick was not activated to the 53-man roster from injured reserve, so he will not play Sunday.

Is Brandon McManus going to play?

We might not know until inactives are announced. The veteran kicker injured his right quad during Wednesday’s practice, but McManus insisted he’s capable of playing through the injury — which is similar to one he played through during a game in 2022. Despite his confidence, the Packers signed kicker Lucas Havrisik to the 53-man roster on Saturday, providing an insurance policy. Will the Packers have both kickers active, just in case? If McManus is truly good to go, it’s possible Havrisik will be inactive.

Is Christian Watson going to play?

No. The Packers designated Watson for return from the PUP list on Monday, and he got in his first week of limited practice since tearing his ACL in early January of this year. His recovery has been nothing short of amazing — Watson was back on the practice field in nine months. But he won’t play Sunday. The Packers are easing him back, and he likely needs a ramp up period before he’s cleared to play. It’s possible he’ll be ready to return after another full week of practice next Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals.

Is Ja’Marr Chase going to play?

The Bengals’ All-Pro wide receiver was added to the injury report with an illness on Friday. Chase is listed as questionable to play, but multiple media reports say he is expected to play on Sunday.
