Wide receiver George Pickens is quickly endearing himself to Dallas Cowboys fans after he scored yet another touchdown in the Week 5 game against the New York Jets.

Pickens was having a quiet game on Sunday before he connected with quarterback Dak Prescott on a 43-yard bomb that saw Pickens beat an elite cornerback in Sauce Gardner down the field.

The score is Pickens’ fifth this season, with all five coming in the last four games after he was blanked in Week 1.

And, with that touchdown, Pickens becomes the first player in Cowboys history to secure five touchdown catches in his first five games, according to the Cowboys’ Public Relations.

Pickens was acquired in a trade with the Pittsburgh Steelers during the offseason and was set to serve as the No. 2 wide receiver behind CeeDee Lamb.

However, an injury to Lamb has thrust Pickens into the position of Prescott’s No. 1 wideout. The Georgia product came up big in Week 4 with eight catches for 134 yards, and now he put the icing on the cake of the Week 5 victory over the Jets.

If Pickens can continue playing like this, the Cowboys are going to have a tough decision to make in 2026, as Pickens is set to hit free agency next offseason.

But there’s a long way to go before a decision needs to be made and the Cowboys will hope Pickens makes it hard on them because that means he had a good season.
