The Cowboys have their franchise quarterback back in the fold, Dak Prescott, and thatâs good news, but honestly, some Cowboys fans seems to go hard on him. Sure, itâs not easy being a quarterback, and thereâs a lot of pressure on quarterbacks like Prescott, but they canât do it all. Sometimes, the quarterback becomes the scapegoat if a team isnât doing well. Weâre looking at you New York Giants and Daniel Jones.
But, Prescott is getting a much needed, and deserved, boost going into the 2025-26 season, and itâs just in time for the Jets game. At least someone in the NFL has noticed that heâs been delivering this season, and theyâre letting the world know.
Dak Prescott is Having a Great Year With the Dallas Cowboys
Prescott is having a solid season with the Cowboys, even if that hasnât translated into wins. Nick Shook of the NFLâs website has a piece out naming the best quarterbacks going into Week 5, published on Thursday, October 2.
In the piece, he named Prescott as one of the five top tier quarterbacks in the league. Thatâs such an honor.
The Cowboysâ 1-2-1 record doesnât suggest it, but Dak Prescott is having a fantastic season,â he says in the piece. âHe put together an excellent performance in a shootout with the Packers, completing 31-of-40 passes for 319 yards and three touchdowns, including arguably the NFLâs best throw of the year to Jalen Tolbert for a 34-yard completion that set up their field goal in overtime.â
He added that âPrescott is firing some unbelievable passes into tight windows and propelling the offense, even with CeeDee Lamb sidelined.â
So, yes, Prescott is on top of his game. Letâs see how he does against the Jets this weekend.
Dallas Cowboys Predictions
As each week goes by, it seems like more and more analysts are noticing the Detroit Lions in a good way. In the NFLâs latest power rankings going into Week 5, out on Tuesday, September 30, Eric Edholm puts the Lions at No. 3.
âDetroit was not prolific offensively against Cleveland, but no one has been this season,â Edholm says. âStill, this is the second time in four games where the Lions have been kept somewhat grounded on offense, even if theyâve taken good care of the football. Committing five offensive penalties was out of character, and Detroitâs still trying to hone the connection between Jared Goff and Jameson Williams.â
